Suddenly Hit!

As I prayed this morning and entered the presence of the Holy Spirit I kind of heard a voice say “Regain your vision.” As in your sight.
I announce this to all of us here because the Lord doesn’t want us to lose focus of our fellowship with Him and the work of the Spirit in our lives. I urge you all brothers and sisters, read the word, pray, submit yourselves boldly to the leading of the Spirit. Go deeper and you will be satisfied more and more in your faith. At this point in my life, I don’t believe we will ever be released from this calling; which is to spend our time in prayer before the Lord.

Homework:
1. Write in your personal journals the first thing that comes into your minds when you sit and begin to pray (today!)
2. Listen in your Spirit, at the core of your heart and mind.
3. Read the word and study it.

I leave you with these words I have read again in Hebrews 10:19 – 25….
“Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

Solid Food!?

Last week I shared something the Lord put in my heart.  It was a challenge that left me standing in wonder.

I read Hebrews 5:11 – 14 and saw a conflict between needing milk and moving on to solid food.  The author of Hebrews (maybe Apollos) said to his audience that they needed milk and he couldn’t continue to teach them solid food.  He encouraged them to move onto solid food.

What is solid food?!!?!??!?!!?!  (hint… this is an opportunity for you to think and chime in and comment via the blog)…..

I saw a clear list of what is considered milk… Chapter 6 v.1 – 2.

  1. repentance from dead works
  2. faith toward God (trust) 100%
  3. instruction about washings
  4. laying on of hands
  5. resurrection of the dead
  6. eternal judgement
  7. Untreated stress can give rise viagra soft to many health issues in life. Not sure where the list ends here, but i was left to ponder what solid food might look like.

If laying on of hands is about healing and prayer and passing the anointing and blessing of God, we should be passed that!  It’s milk!  Of course all in the context of keeping in step with the leading of the Spirit.

There are teachings that God reveals to his children that go beyond basic theology.  They lead into the gifts of the Holy Spirit and teachings about his plan for the end times.  They involve authority and miracles performed in the acts of the love of God through us, his children.

Oh, the riches that await those who walk with God.

So, what do you think solid food is?   hmmm….. good question…..

Till Sunday!

Pause and Pray

Hi everyone!

Just a weekly friendly reminder to stay with your prayer and bible reading.

For this Sunday, let’s all read Hebrews 5 (we’ll head back into Acts next week).  Hebrews 5:11-14 was something I was led to share with the group this past Sunday.   Let’s read it together.  I’ll write more about it in a separate post.

Peace,
Mark
